Seriously, there really will be new stories soon! I'm working on my first Huddy piece! *happy dance* Actually, I think taking six weeks off from heavy fandom and heavy writing was a good thing for me. Now I've got all my duckies in a row with two non-fiction projects, a novel project, several short stories in the can that need to edited, and of course fan fiction! :) 

I must admit I've also been a little distracted by the death of Michael Jackson the past week.  (see post icon and default icon) It's hard to see someone who meant so much to meet as a child/early teen and then someone who's music has been in my life since birth, pass away so suddenly and so soon. I'm glad the memorial service is going to be televisied on Tuesday and that should probably help everyone get alot of closure. I'll always love Michael and his music, and I'll be a fan of his for life.

In other news, people continue to set off fireworks around us. Wheeeee. I'm having some friends over tomorrow to pig out and set off fireworks. The people behind us usually put on a nice show, having a good sized field, and my father wants to set some off too. We haven't in a few years, so hopefully nothing gets blown off or set on fire. :P The dogs won't appreciate it, but I will be picking up some toys and chew bones along with the fireworks tomorrow morning. The lovely thing about dogs is they are very easy to bribe. :) 

I'm going to go catch up on LJ a little. It's Fuck Off Friday...something I instituted awhile back. The one day a week when I can just enjoy the internet without worrying about projects, writing, etc. I recommend it to everyone. Sometimes we all need to get in touch with our inner ADD child. :P
